Meet The Team...
Hi everyone. My name is Gary Robb,
and I am one of the collection and
delivery drivers at Assisi.
Before that I was employed as a graphic designer with
Peninsula Print and Design in Ards. I had worked within
the print/design business for over 30 years and, during a
design meeting with Assisi, I was tasked to revamp the
Paw Prints magazine, plus all Assisi promo and fundraising
CONTACT DETAILS items working alongside Anna. This turned out to be a great
success and kickstart to a new wave of awareness in the
Assisi Animal Sanctuary general public, promoting Assisi’s wide range of services.

Conlig charity van driver and was delighted to be selected as I

Co Down saw this as an excellent opportunity to do something that

opener. We collect quality household items for the shops,
Charitable Company which in turn helps the animals at the sanctuary. We collect

we got her just before Christmas but is now doing great…

Hi, my name is Joy and I is a 7 year old ex-racer and he and I love to go on the ‘All About
Greyhounds’ walks a couple of times a month. During lockdown
have worked at Assisi for I took up sea swimming and I am really enjoying it.
just over 5 years. My future ambition is to continue to help animals. I would
love to become more involved in educating people on Animal
Welfare so that I can play my part in improving animal welfare
After leaving school, I knew I wanted to work with animals, so I

undertook a HND in Animal Management and after I completed
this, I managed to get a position at Assisi as casual staff. I was
delighted when a full-time position became available, and I was
fortunate enough to get it.
My position at Assisi is Animal Welfare Assistant and I am
responsible for looking after and caring for the animals that
come into the sanctuary and helping them find their forever
homes. I have worked on all the units at the sanctuary, and I feel
very lucky to be doing the job I do. To wake up every morning
looking forward to going to work and to getting to do what I
love the most is immeasurable.
When I’m not working, I love nothing more than spending time
with family and friends. I have a greyhound called Freddie who
